Located ten miles south of Downtown Denver, Littleton offers a small town atmosphere with big city benefits. A quick light rail ride on the C line takes visitors to the heart of the community, the Main Street Historic District, with five blocks on the National Register of Historic Places. Enjoy shopping, dining and many special events in one-of-a-kind beautifully restored, historic buildings. Visit South Platte Park, at 878 acres, one of the largest urban parks in Colorado with the South Platte River running through it. Littleton has 35 miles of bikeways and three times more acres of park land than the national standard. The Littleton Museum offers a chance to step back in time on the 1860s and turn-of-the-century homesteads with a schoolhouse, blacksmith shop and working farms. Inside are four galleries and a gift shop. And Hudson Gardens, one of the most beautiful botanic facilities in Colorado, features a summer rock and roll concert line up in a spectacular 30-acre setting.
