Denver Ranked in Top 10 for Highest Average Salaries

With high salaries in the Energy ($169,000) and company management ($148,000) – Denver ranks #9 within the nations top 53 large metro areas.  Denver’s average salary is $59,866, while the nations average is $53,000.  San Jose California tops the list with an average salary of $112,223, with San Francisco ($82,115) and New York ($72,738) rounding out the top three.

Headlight Data (based in Austin, TX) – released the report and looked at data from 2014-15 provided from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.   President and Chief Analyst of Headlight Data, Chris Engle adds, “The states growing employment base by help push the wages up.  Denver ranked in the top 10 for employment growth from 2014-15, growing 3.8%.  Rising wages are also a sign that employers in Denver are able to pay high wages due to their success”.

Oklahoma City, Tampa and San Antonio came in with the lowest averages respectively.
