Boulder named Happiest City in the US

According to National Geographic best selling author, Dan Buettner,  Boulder, Colorado is the happiest city in the US.   Based on Buettner's research, "Bolstered by a sense of community, access to nature, sustainable urban development and preservation policies, and perhaps even that clean mountain air, Boulderites overwhelmingly feel active and productive every day."

Located within a 45 minute drive from Denver, Boulder offers a quality of life second to none.  With quick access to nature trails and outdoor recreation, Boulder is nestled against the Rocky Mountains and  provides everything a Boulderite would need to live with "pleasure, pride and purpose" according to Buettner.

Two other Colorado cities made the top 20 list, Fort Collins, located 90 minutes north of Denver came in at #4 and Colorado Springs, just a short 60 minute drive from Denver came in at #18.
